Fantasy Football Quarterbacks to Own -
Jay Cutler is a very effective quarterback that should bring great value compared to where you are able to grab him in your fantasy draft. Major upgrades at the #1 and #2 Wide Receiver slots should put him easily within the top 10 fantasy scorers at his position. If Cutler Should go down with an injury be ready to grab Jason Campbell who showed some real promise last season in Oakland before being knocked out for the season.
Fantasy Football Running Backs to Own -
Matt Forte is a first round talent and should be drafted within the first 10 picks of any draft. The upgrades at the Wide receiver position should benefit him as well opening up more holes to run through. The addition of Michael Bush will keep Forte’s legs healthy all season. He is a dual threat in every format, but in PPR leagues he is especially deadly. Draft Michael Bush as his handcuff if you can. Last year Bush was an impressive fantasy football running back replacement in the wake of Darren McFadden’s annual injury.
Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Own -
Brandon Marshall is at long last reuniting with the Quarterback that brought him into NFL boosting his fantasy football relevance though the roof. Look for him to perform as a true #1 fantasy football wide receiver now that he is out of the Quarterback turnstile in Miami. I see him as a 100 reception receiver again in Chicago while sniffing double digit touchdown totals. Keep an eye on the rookie Alshon Jeffrey as his potential is through the roof. If he wins the starting spot across from Marshall expect a big year from him while benefiting from teams focusing on Marshall and Forte. Snatch him up in the later rounds and you will not be sorry.
Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Own -
If you are considering drafting Kellen Davis for your starter this year please think again. There are plenty of other options in the NFL that would make a bigger impact on your fantasy team at the tight end position.
Fantasy Football Place Kickers to Own -
When the kickers start flying off the board in the later rounds of your draft don’t be upset if you land Robbie Gould. The Bears will move the ball much better this year allowing him more opportunities for field goals and extra points.
Defense/ Special Teams -
Although the Bears are an aging defense they should still provide you with enough fantasy points to be competitive. Don’t be afraid to take them late when D/ST start to come off the board. Brian Urlacher still has some juice to contribute for your fantasy squad, but you should really be targeting Lance Briggs as #1 linebacker for your individual defense based leagues.
