Sam Bradford (PHI)
Draftkings - $6,900 Fanduel - $7,500
Enjoy these prices, they won’t last! After going 10 for 10 with 3 touch downs in week 3 of the pre-season Sam Bradford’s Fantasy stock flew right up the draft boards! Thankfully our friendly DFS sites had already set their prices making Mr. Bradford my lock of the week at his current asking price. The system works in Philly and the Monday night matchup with Atlanta couldn’t be better.
Eli Manning (NYG)
Draft kings - $7,400 Fanduel - $8,300
With a prime time Sunday night matchup between two of the league’s oldest rivals scores are going to come in bunches. Eli’s price to begin the season allows a lot of room for the rest of your team while also providing upside given his weapons and the amount he will have to throw. I see somewhere around 300 yards and 2 touchdowns this weekend.
Running Backs –
Eddie Lacy (GB)
Draftkings - $7,500 Fanduel - $8,500
This one seems like a no brainer but I’m putting Lacy’s name here for a reason. This game could and should get out of hand and the Green Bay receivers are banged up to say the least. The spread is 7 and counting (depends who you ask!) which sounds like a ton of clock killing fun for Lacy owners. If you are going to spend a chunk of change on a running back skip right on down to Lacy and save that $700 for another position.
Marshawn Lynch (SEA)
Draftkings - $7,300 Fanduel - $8,600
I am sure that you all know by now, but Marshawn Lynch is a game changing back in Seattle. This week “Beast Mode” should be in full swing against a solid but aging St. Louis Rams defense. Look for Seattle to be up early and to where away at St. Louis as the game wears on with the likes of Lynch. 95-100 yards and a touchdown is not at all out of the question.
Wide Receivers –
John Brown (AZ)
Draftkings - $4,500 Fanduel - $6,000
Just spent a bundle on Eddie Lacy? Make up for it here! Look the easy pick is of course Devante Adams with Green Bay but c’mon that is too obvious! Michael Floyd is coming off surgery and just started catching passes this past week. He’s highly questionable for week 1 and even if he plays he won’t be 100% This game is basically a pick em’ with Arizona giving 2.5 points so it could be a bit of a shootout if Brees can penetrate that defense. Speaking of which, that Saints’ defense is riddled with injuries right now – I could see John Brown having a nice game here and the price is beyond right!
Golden Tate (DET)
Draftkings - $6,300 Fanduel - $7,100
While Calvin Johnson was out of the lineup Golden Tate performed like a #1 wide receiver in his stead and I am sure the Lions coaching staff took notice. Available for significantly less than Megatron and playing in a pass-first offense look for Tate to push double digit targets in week 1. Playing in sync with Matthew Stafford to start out the season I see 95 yards and a score on Sunday.
Tight Ends –
Charles Clay – (BUF)
Draftkings - $3,700 Fanduel - $5,000
Bit of a gut call here. I think the Buffalo defense can try to keep them in it only for so long. Buffalo is going to have to hang some points to have a chance. An inexperienced Quarterback like Tyrod Taylor might just look for his big tight end in more than just goal line situations. They’ve made some nice rapport in the pre-season. If you blow the budget elsewhere consider Charles Clay at this price point, it could pay off in the game of catch-up.
Jason Witten (DAL)
Draftkings - $4,000 Fanduel - $5,800
I feel that Jason Witten has gone overlooked in many fantasy drafts and rankings heading in 2015 because of his touchdown totals in 2014 and it has certainly suppressed his projected value to start the season. I have already mentioned that the Sunday night game will be a high scoring affair and with Dez Bryant nursing a hamstring throughout the preseason I think that shines a bit more light in Witten’s direction top open the season. Look for 75-90 yards in score for the 10 time pro bowler on Sunday.
Jets Defense –
Draftkings - $2,900 Fanduel $4,400
Cleveland at home, that’s all I need to say. Seriously if you look up dumpster fire, you get the Browns logo. The jet’s defense is pretty good and the Cleveland offense is very bad. The spread says otherwise at 2.5 but this one shouldn’t be close.
Bengals Defense –
Draftkings - $3,200 Fanduel - $4,600
Coming into to week one the Bengals draw the Oakland Raiders in a matchup that should see multiple opportunities for turnovers with youngster Derek Carr at the helm. While I don’t doubt Carr’s talent and the weapons that he has, his preseason has only been so-so and if there are any miscues the Bengals secondary has a knack at cleaning those up. I see the Raiders playing from behind for most of the game allowing the Bengals multiple opportunities to pin their ears back and rush the QB all day.
