Jameis Winston, QB Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DraftKings - $5,700
Facing an extremely porous Oakland defense in week 8 Winston and his receiving corps are going to have an absolute field day. I am surprised to see his daily value so low, but my assumption would be that Oakland bleeds yards on the ground as well as through the air and Jaquizz Rodgers has been a workhorse the last 2 weeks filling in for Doug Martin. With the potential for a shootout this week being very high as two young offenses are looking to stake their claim as the best. I see Winston going north of 300 yards with 2 scores while possibly adding another score with his legs. Aaron Rodgers QB Green Bay Packers : Draftkings - $7,500 As of this writing the over/under is at 52.5. Vegas loves this game and so do I (so should you) Atlanta cannot stop the pass and Green Bay isn’t exactly strong in that department either. Julio is going to do his thing but his $9,600 price tag is to rich for my blood so I’ll look to the Pack-stack this week! Rodgers got rolling last week in another nice Match up and this opponent is even friendly to opposing passers. Many players are still leery of Aaron but you need to get him into at least a few lineups this week. We could be looking at a 4 TD game from ol’ discount double check. Devontae Booker, RB Denver Broncos: DraftKings - $3,700 In week 7 Booker looked like the running back of the future while filling in for CJ Anderson and in week 8 he is going to get his chance to run the show with CJ sidelined for some time with a knee injury. On top of that he gets a cake matchup with the injury depleted San Diego Chargers and should be able to walk all over them as the Broncos control the clock with the run. Being a rock bottom price and his potential to be among the top 5-7 RBs when week 8 is over make him a steal in Daily Fantasy. I believe that 85-100 yards and a score would be his floor this weekend. Spencer Ware RB Kansas City Chiefs : Draftkings - $6,800 The Colts have given up at least 118 rushing yards in each of their last three contests and Charles looks to be ailing more than Andy Reed would like to admit. Ware is involved in all aspects of the game since ol’ Andy loves to run the entire offense through the feature back. The matchup is amazing and Ware has been excellent. Start with confidence, he may well be the top scoring running back at weeks end. Stefon Diggs, WR Minnesota Vikings: DraftKings - $5,600 With an injury, a bye week, and a sub-par performance in week 7 I feel like Diggs is flying quite a bit under the radar this week. The Vikings as a team were awful against the Eagles, but the entire team is going to bounce back this week against the lowly Chicago Bears. In Primetime under the lights Diggs and company will show off why they are one of the best teams in the NFL. If you are looking for a receiver with #1 potential at a #3 price Stefon is certainly your man this week. Jordy Nelson Green Bay Packers : Draftkings - $7,200 Love Jordy this week… LOVE him this week. Why love? Because nobody loves Jordy right now. He laid an absolute egg last week in a primo matchup so many will shy away. But we are smarter than that aren’t we? Jordy can’t let another amazing matchup slip through his fingers can he? Only the Raiders having given up more passing yards than the Falcons and the Packers can’t stop the pass either so this looks like the shootout of the week. Let your opponents chase last weeks points, I won’t be shocked if Jordy scores at least twice in this one. Zach Ertz, TE Philadelphia Eagles: DraftKings - $3,600 While Ertz has been slow to get the rust knocked off since his injury he should be able to break a few this weekend against a Dallas Cowboys defense that has problems covering tight ends. Carson Wentz has slipped a bit over his past two games as well and I believe will be looking Ertz way early and often as his security blanket while building his confidence back. This may be the cheapest you see Ertz for the rest of the season. Cameron Brate TE Tampa Bay Buccaneers : Draftkings - $3,200 Got to save some money somewhere right? Vincent Jackson is out and Mike Evans can’t do it all by himself. Oakland is a nice matchup for opposing tight ends having given 456 yards and 4 touchdowns this season to the position. They also rank dead last against the pass as a whole. You need about 20 from your tight end to compete for the bigger paydays, Brate can get you there if Jameis can keep his head on straight. Minnesota Vikings Defense: DraftKings - $4,100 I know that they are the most expensive option this weekend, but I don’t think this is the week that you can skip out on their potential. Against a Bears offense that has been struggling to say the least look for the Vikings defense to hi the field with a purpose after being beat down in week 7. Whomever is starting at QB for the Bears better have their head on a swivel as the Vikings front is going to be flying in from all angles as the look to prove that week 7 was a fluke performance. Don’t be surprised if they take a turnover back to the house. Tennessee Defense: Draftkings - $2,800 I love football on strange days no matter what. I even love these terrible Thursday night matches we have seen lately! How many times have you popped a beer and hunkered down for a low scoring, hard hitting defensive battle on a fine Thursday evening this year? Feels like every week doesn't it? through 7 weeks the average points total for the Thursday night match up has been 41 - AKA less than the typical lowest over under each week in Vegas. This number bodes well for defenses. It especially bodes well for defenses facing Blake Bortles! The Jags are not going to be able to run against the Titan’s run defense (currently 8th against the run with only 3 rushing touchdowns allowed so far) so they’ll need to pass. Bortles hs been awful, I expect him to stay that way on Thursday night! Save that budget for your offensive studs!
