Andy Dalton (CIN)
Draftkings - $5,700 Fanduel - $7,600
The Bengals have been on fire since the start of the season and it seems as if Dalton is starting to take that next step to joining the elite quarterback club in the NFL. I know that preseason a matchup with the Bills seemed unfavorable, but when facing better passing offenses their secondary has had an issue with getting torched and with Dalton and A.J. Green on a roll I see that trend continuing this weekend. Dalton’s price to potential this weekend is just too good to pass up as he will likely bring you the same return as some of the priciest quarterbacks on the market. 275 yards with 2-3 touchdowns to go along with 1 interception sounds about right this Sunday.
Eli Manning (NYG)
Draft kings - $6,800 Fanduel - $7,800
Would love to see a high scoring game Monday night! Giants are top ten against the run, so are the Eagles. Giants are bottom 6 against the pass, once again – so are the Eagles. This has all the makings of a primetime shootout. Assuming Odell Beckham is healthy Eli gets the nod for me over Bradford. If Odell sits I’d start Bradford – I’ll be making lineups with both QB’s as my anchors. I could see this game easily surpassing the 49 point over under.
Running Backs –
Frank Gore (IND)
Draftkings - $4,900 Fanduel - $7,000
Frank Gore is one of the few running backs in recent memory that have been able to withstand the test of time and be productive late into his career. He certainly has been a solid contributor just about every week and the upcoming primetime matchup against the New England Patriots looks to go right along with that trend. With Andrew Luck likely to suit up this weekend the Colts will lean on Gore to help ease luck back into the mix and if for some reason he sits Gore could be utilized just as much to take the pressure off of the aging Matt Hasselbeck. I see Gore rumbling his way to 80-90 yards and a score on Sunday night.
Legarette Blount (NE)
Draftkings - $4,400 Fanduel - $6,500
Revenge is a dish best served cold with a side of goal-line hammer! I don’t doubt the Pats will come out swinging. I expect Tom terrific to throw at least 3 touchdowns here in a pedal to the metal type game but once the game is in hand the ground and pound will come into effect. The Pats are favored 10, a line which is likely to move if Luck sits and the over under is at 54.5. I’m thinking the Patriots account for 40 of those points. Blount is cheap this week so take advantage of his price and spend elsewhere!
Wide Receivers –
Draftkings - $7,600 Fanduel - $8,100
One of the biggest benefactors of Andy Dalton’s fine play has been A.J. Green this season. After battling through injuries early in 2014 Green has come out healthy and strong in the 2015 campaign and it shows. His value is still below many of the other elite wideouts up to this point in the season so I would jump on him while you can before his daily cost reaches what his true value is. Even against what should be a solid secondary I see Green hauling in 6-7 receptions for 110 yards and a score in week 6.
Josh Huff (PHI)
Draftkings - $3,100 Fanduel - $5,300
Did I mention that the Giants are in the bottom 6 in pass defense? Well they are! If I’m starting Bradford I’m stacking him with Mathews or Huff depending on how I’m spending my budget. I like Huff as a sneaky contrarian play this week. He got deep last week and it looks like Agholor is out for the Monday night tilt. Its risk reward but if it hits Huff could really separate you from the pack in big tournaments.
Tight Ends –
Draftkings - $5,000 Fanduel - $6,200
This one could go either way with Charles out but I’m expecting Kelce to be used much more in that short and intermediate passing game this week. He’ll likely be blocking a good bit more but that opens up tight end screens and Kelce can easily take it to the house with his athleticism. With some many people playing Gronkowski this week Kelce could be a difference maker in your lineup. He hasn’t scored since erupting in week 1 so while it’s a bit of a gut call – I think he’s due.
Greg Olsen (CAR)
Draftkings - $5,500 Fanduel - $6,300
With a clear lack of top notch receivers Olsen has inherited the #1 receiving responsibilities for the Panthers. Not that Olsen hasn’t always been a key cog in the Carolina offense throughout his time there, but he is most certainly Cam Newton’s favorite target. Facing a top ranked defense like the Seattle Seahawks might scare you away, but one of their main weaknesses has been covering the tight end (as I mentioned with Eifert last week) and I look for Olsen to shred whatever coverage ends up in front of him. I don’t think that is hard to imagine him leaving the game with 75-85 yards and 2 scores on Sunday.
Patriots Defense –
Draftkings - $3,100 Fanduel $4,800
People see Indy on the schedule and run for the hills but should they? It’s a little risky given the colts firepower but right now they rank in the bottom 12 in total yards, points and points per game. On the Patriots side you’ll find a top 4 defense in Points and yards allowed. They are also ranked 7th in points per game. The pats shouldn’t be highly owned as we unlikely to get official word on Luck before noon on Sunday owned and could easily put the Colts in a choke hold out the gate. If Luck sits this will prove to be a steal. Even if he plays I’m still rolling out this underrated, well coached defense.
Jets Defense –
Draftkings - $3,100 Fanduel - $5,200
This call really is more about the opponent then it is about the Jets themselves. Not that I think they are a terrible defense, in fact they are pretty good, but they are facing the human turnover in Kirk Cousins. I see him hitting the ground on numerous occasions with the ball in his hands and making a few errant throws or coughing the ball up 2-3 times this weekend. In addition I see the Jets D putting at least 6 on the board as an added bonus. Get them in your lineup this week.
