OK, so normally you read this article and it’s filled with players that are flying under the radar in a positive way. Today I thought, “let’s go the opposite way”. That may sound a little negative but there are a few players that are always being put into positions by some that they flat out do not deserve. So let me ramble off a few!
Ertz could simply be the most irritating player to own in fantasy. If you don’t trust your gut that is. Ertz is consistently put into the top 10 of TEs for some reason, I am still trying to figure out what that reason is. Ertz has 26 fantasy points through 9 games this season, yup you heard me, 26. That’s 30th overall and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better any time soon. Simply put, Ertz does not need to be owned in any leagues! Stop putting him in your lineups at once!
Let’s face it, the Jets stink. I love saying that, and for fantasy owners of Brandon Marshall, it’s even worse. He only has 2, count them, 2 100 yard games this season. Keeping with the theme of 2, he also only has 2 touchdowns this season. With numbers like that, Marshall does not deserve to be in the top 20 WR discussion. Marshall has some favorable matchups coming up after their bye week, but he also had 3 favorable matchups the past 3 against Cleveland, Miami, and Los Angeles. For me Marshall is in the WR3 discussion, but a low one at that.
So, I will start this one out by saying, this has nothing to do with Mark Ingram. This is all on the Saints coach Sean Payton and the play calling. I say this because I know, I too was an Ingram owner. There is no doubt that Ingram is the most talented Running Back on the saints team, which makes this just an odd situation. Ingram exploded last week for 158 yards on 15 carries and added 13 yards on 2 catches and another touchdown. And yet, the Saints still say they are committed to a time share. We don’t understand it, nor do we have the luxury to be patient enough to figure it out. We are getting down to the nitty gritty here, if you can sell, do it.
