In light of recent events should I try to trade Adrian Peterson? Or is that move a bit rash at this point? Hate to hang on to him and have him be worth nothing though if the worst happens. Thanks in advance guys!
Fantasy Football Trade Advice -
Thank you for using our fantasy football trade evaluator! This is a tough call as we don't have a ton of details right now. We do know for sure he is out this week and has posted bail in Texas but until we have more details its hard to say how the league/team will react. I own him in a few leagues and I'm keeping him after having obtained at least one if not both of the handcuff running backs in Minnesota (Matt Asiata and Jerrick Mckinnon - in that order according to their most current depth chart) Don't be surprised if McKinnon shows some skills and makes this a 50/50 time share. He had a lot of buzz this preseason and training camp. McKinnon drew praise from Peterson himself, saying he was a complete back and ready for big things. Asiata will likely be the goal line back and I bet Cordarrelle Patterson will benefit too with a few more carries. The best offer you could expect right now for Peterson would likely be in the Rashaad Jennings / Chis Johnson Range so I think this all comes down to your depth and if you can afford to wait and see. Right now I'm recommending you hold - Adrian Peterson is worth the risk but I do expect some sort of discipline given the current climate in the NFL.
